Our Story & Mission

About The Feast Ormoc

Rooted in faith. Built on community. Part of a movement changing lives across the Philippines.

Our Story

The Feast Ormoc was born out of a deep desire to bring the transforming love of Jesus Christ to the people of Ormoc City, Leyte. It is a local expression of The Feast — the flagship event of the Light of Jesus (LOJ) Family, a movement founded by Bo Sanchez, one of the Philippines' most beloved Catholic preachers and authors.

What began as a small gathering of faithful Catholics committed to Spirit-filled worship and community has grown into a thriving weekly event drawing hundreds of worshippers from across Ormoc City and nearby communities. Every Sunday, The Feast Ormoc brings together people from all walks of life — students, families, professionals, and seekers — all united by one shared experience: the encounter with a living, loving God.

The community is organized under the Head Elder of Light of Jesus Family Provincial Visayas Inc., a registered nonstock, nonprofit religious organization in the Republic of the Philippines, committed to integrity, transparency, and genuine service to the people of Ormoc and Leyte.

The Feast and the LOJ Community

Understanding how the gathering and the community are connected.

🎤

The Feast

The Feast is the weekly worship event — an engaging, Spirit-filled gathering featuring praise and worship music, an inspiring talk rooted in Scripture and Catholic tradition, and a time of ministry and prayer. It is the public face of the community, open to everyone free of charge.

🏡

LOJ Ormoc Community

The LOJ Ormoc Community is the family behind The Feast. It is the network of members, ministers, servants, and leaders who make the gathering possible week after week — and who serve each other through small groups, ministries, and outreach programs beyond Sunday mornings.

🤝

Together in Mission

Whether you first encounter us through The Feast or through a ministry, you are entering a community of love and belonging. The Feast is the door; the LOJ community is the home. Both exist to help every person encounter God and grow in faith, love, and service.

Part of a Nationwide Movement

The Feast Ormoc is proud to be part of Feast Philippines — one of the largest Catholic charismatic movements in the country, with Feast gatherings in cities and towns across the Philippine archipelago and even internationally.

Founded by Bo Sanchez, the Light of Jesus Family movement is built on the conviction that ordinary Catholics can live extraordinary lives of faith when they are part of a loving, Spirit-filled community. Through inspiring teachings, practical wisdom, and genuine fellowship, the Feast movement has helped millions of Filipinos grow closer to God.

As part of this movement, The Feast Ormoc carries the same values: faith, community, love, and service. We are connected to a nationwide network of communities, resources, and leaders — while remaining deeply rooted in the local soil of Ormoc City and the province of Leyte.
